WRAPPING UP THE "ROOT AND SPROUT" INTER-SCHOOL CREATIVE CONTEST AT THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE MUSEUM-INSTITUTE

02.07.2026

On June 27, the solemn award ceremony of the "Root and Sprout" (Armat yev Tsil) research-creative contest took place in the conference hall of the "Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute" Foundation.

The contest, held for the fourth time this year, launched in January 2026. As part of the program, online courses and meetings with field experts were organized for the participants and their mentors. The knowledge and advice acquired gave participants the opportunity to study, re-evaluate, and record the stories of their families and ancestors.

This year, 38 teenagers aged 11–14 from Yerevan and various provinces of the Republic of Armenia participated in the contest. During the award ceremony, the winners' names were announced, and the authors of the works recognized as best in various categories were presented.

The event was held in a warm atmosphere, full of interesting surprises. Notably, two participants received special prizes established by the "Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute" Foundation.

The main supporter of the award ceremony was the "Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute" Foundation, whose support once again highlighted the importance of engaging the younger generation in the preservation and transmission of family memory, identity, and historical heritage.
