From July 2 to 4, the international conference "Layers of Repatriation," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Repatriation, was held at the History Museum of Armenia. More than 40 researchers from the Republic of Armenia and abroad participated. Parallel to the conference, the temporary exhibition "Armenia: Open Door" was opened in cooperation with the "Factum" Documentary Center.

Narine Margaryan, Scientific Secretary of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, and senior researchers Tehmine Martoyan and Elina Mirzoyan also participated in the conference.

Narine Margaryan, Ph.D., presented the memoir heritage of genocide survivors who repatriated, kept in the AGMI collection, within the context of narratives regarding the clash between expectations and reality.

Tehmine Martoyan, Ph.D., addressed the experience of her grandfather, Mnatsakan, presenting the journey of homecoming, the collapse of ideological barriers, and the trajectory of psychological resistance.

Elina Mirzoyan, Ph.D., Associate Professor, presented the history of Armenian Genocide survivors in the village of Ujan—a historico-genocidological overview of survival, repatriation, and the post-repatriation period from Sasun to Ujan. The author highlighted this topic not only as a researcher but also as a descendant of those survivors.

The presented reports, after being peer-reviewed, will be published in the upcoming issue of the "Proceedings of the History Museum of Armenia" scientific collection.
