Researchers from the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation, Regina Galustyan and Inesa Stepanyan, took part in the international seminar “Intergenerational Pedagogy of Memory: Art, Curatorial Practice, and Youth Participation”, organized within the framework of the EU-funded project “COREM: Collective Remembrance — Engaging Youth Through Curatorial Practices.”
The program aims to involve children aged 12–14 in the transmission and education of genocide remembrance. The project brings together countries with complex histories of violence — Armenia, Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Spain — each offering unique perspectives and educational challenges.
It promotes interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral collaboration among leading institutions of historical memory, including history museums, genocide memorials, and prominent scholars in youth studies, media, literature, and education. Such initiatives strengthen cooperation between institutions, educators, and researchers while countering the distortion of historical facts and addressing challenges that threaten democracy.
