A cultural delegation from the city of Leipzig, Federal Republic of Germany, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial and Museum today.
The visit was organized within the framework of the agreement "On the Implementation of a Cultural Year between the Cities of Leipzig and Yerevan," signed last year between the mayors of Yerevan and Leipzig. The agreement aims to promote cultural cooperation and exchanges between the two cities.
The delegation included representatives from the Leipzig Municipality and the city's leading cultural institutions.
The guests were welcomed and accompanied during the visit by Hrachya Tashchyan, the Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI). The members of the German delegation laid flowers at the Eternal Flame commemorating the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a moment of silence.
Subsequently, the delegation members toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, where they viewed both the permanent and temporary exhibitions.
