On 25–26 August, Narek Poghosyan, a researcher at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, participated in the Second International Conference “The Genocide of the Kurds: Its Reflection in Literature, Art and the Media” held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.

Poghosyan presented a paper titled “The Legacy of Trauma: A Comparative Analysis of the Memory of the Armenian Genocide and Anfal,” highlighting how memories of both the Armenian Genocide and the Anfal campaign have profoundly shaped the identities of the Armenian and Kurdish peoples and strengthened their struggles for justice.
