AGMI Staff Participated in an International Conference

19.11.2025

On November 8 and 9, a two-day international conference titled "The Armenian Genocide: 110 Years Later," organized by the Johannes Lepsius House Museum and the International Institute for Nationality Rights and Regionalism (Munich), took place in Potsdam, Germany. AGMI staff members Mihran Minasyan, Gohar Khanumyan, Regina Galustyan, and Anna Kazaryan participated in the event. The conference was attended by historians, genocide scholars, and international law specialists from various countries, including Armenia, Germany, France, Poland, Lebanon, and Turkey.

The AGMI staff members presented the following topics:

• Mihran Minasyan: Mass killings of Armenian children in Syria during the Armenian Genocide.
• Gohar Khanumyan: Soghomon Tehlirian's Berlin prison diary.
• Regina Galustyan: Dynamics of Dehumanization: A study on the Armenian Genocide.
• Anna Kazaryan: Deportation of Armenians in the Kghi District (Gavarrak): Forced deportation, massacre, and survival.

A Cooperation Agreement was signed between the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and the Lepsiushaus as early as 2005, within the framework of which mutually beneficial cooperation continues to this day.

It is worth noting that the Lepsiushaus is located near the famous Cecilienhof Palace, where the Potsdam Conference took place.
