On June 19, a delegation arriving in Armenia within the framework of cooperation between the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France and the sister cities of the Syunik Province, led by the Mayor of Vienne, Thierry Kovacs, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial. The guests laid a wreath at the monument eternalizing the memory of the innocent martyrs of the Armenian Genocide and visited the museum, where they viewed the permanent and temporary exhibitions.
At the end of the visit, the delegation members made entries in the Memory Book for Honorable Guests and visited the Memory Alley, where a fir tree was planted in 2019 by Laurent Wauquiez, the President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The delegation was welcomed and accompanied throughout the visit by Lusine Abrahamyan, the Deputy Director for Museum Affairs of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI).
