Awarding ceremony of the winners of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice was held at the temporary exhibition hall of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. The Deputy Director of the AGMI Lusine Abrahamyan gave a welcome speech.
The Czech Ambassador to the RA Peter Mikiska noted that 255 Armenian children have participated in the international exhibition, twelve of whom were awarded the certificates and incentive prizes.
The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice) was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims of the German Nazis murdered in the Czech village of Lidice, as well as other children died in the wars.
The contest is for children between the ages 4 to 16 from schools, kindergartens, orphanages and centers of artistic development held in the Czech Republic and abroad.
