“How to Cover Armenian Genocide Issues”
Summer School for Journalists and Bloggers

20.05.2014

The center for regional and political studies “Prospectus” NGO, the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and the Youth Foundation of Armenia as a partner organization of RA president, are organizing a two-day summer school for journalists and bloggers on July 11 and 12, 2014.

Journalists from RA, NKR and Diaspora, with at least two years of work experience are welcome to participate in the program. Participants will receive the relevant literature to read before the start of the program and at the end of the program certificates will be given. Applications will be accepted until June 16.

Journalists of the Summer School who can closely cooperate with the AGMI to cover the events of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide will be selected for the Summer School.

The program aims at transmitting fundamental knowledge on the topic of the Armenian Genocide to journalists, clarifying a number of complex and controversial issues, outlining methods to cope with the Turkish denial policy, as well as promoting dialogue between scientists and the public through journalists.

Participation in this course will help to create a network of journalists, who specializing in this subject can receive and deliver scientific news concerning the Armenian Genocide more effectively to Armenian and international community.

The project is implemented within the grant competition announced by the Youth Foundation of Armenia as a partner organization of RA president.
