On August 22, the delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade, Federal Cultural Institutions of the Kingdom of Belgium Hadja Lahbib, who arrived in Armenia on an official visit, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial, accompanied by RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, RA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Belgium Anna Aghajanyan.
The guests were welcomed by Harutyun Marutyan, director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
Ministers of both countries laid a wreath at the Genocide Monument, after which they laid flowers at the Eternal Fire and observed a minute’s silence in memory of the innocent martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.
The delegation then toured the Armenian Genocide Museum, accompanied by Hasmik Martirosyan, AGMI senior tour guide, and became acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions, after which Hadja Lahbib left notes in the Memory Book for Honorable Guests.
Expressing his gratitude for their visit, AGMI Director Harutyun Marutyan, presented Hadja Lahbib with books about the Armenian Genocide and the volume of “International Journal of Armenian Genocide Studies” dedicated to the Artsakh issue.
