On February 24, within her official visit to Armenia, President of the Moldovan Parliament Zinaida Greceanîi has visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex accompanied with Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Lena Nazaryan and Head of Armenia-Moldova Friendship Group Armen Pambukhchyan.
The delegation was welcomed by the AGMI guide Lusine Tunyan, who also presented the history and symbolism of the Genocide Memorial.
The guests laid flowers at the eternal fire and honored the memory of the innocent martyrs with a minute of silence.
The Moldovan delegation headed by Zinaida Greceanîi also visited the Genocide Museum and got acquainted with the exhibits. At the end of the visit President of the Moldovan Parliament left a note in the Memory Book of Honorable Guests:
“Armenian tragedy should not be forgotten, as forgetting may mean the possibility of the repetition of such crimes in future.
We express our deepest condolences for the drama of the Armenian nation. We feel this pain deep in our heart and respect the memory of those victims. May God rest the souls of the martyrs and let them rest in peace”.
