The 11th annual conference of the International Association of Genocide Scholars which was titled “Time, Movement and Space. Genocide Studies and Indigenous Peoples” took place July 16-19, 2014 in the Canadian city of Winnipeg.
The deputy director of AGMI Doctor Suren Manukyan also participated in this conference. His report was titled ("Newcomers and Indigenous: Homogenization of Armenian Homeland as Nation and State Building Project in the Late Ottoman Empire".
Hundreds of top Genocide scholars from all over the world participate in the annual conference of the International Association of Genocide Scholars. This is an important platform for researchers in this area to become familiar with the developments taking place, to present their own researches, as well as discuss prospects for cooperation with other scientific institutions.
