An office named after a Jewish genocide expert and chief editor of Encyclopedia of Genocide Israel Charny was opened in the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
In his works, articles and speeches famous genocide expert repeatedly referred to the history, recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. He constantly speaks against the denial of the Armenian Genocide by the Turkish government.
In 2011, Israel Charny was awarded the RA presidential prize “for decades of academic work and his research activities related to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and the denial of genocides”.
To inform, Israel Charny has donated his personal library to the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute. The library encompasses about seven hundred publications on genocide, including theoretical literature, and units related to the Armenian Genocide and Jewish Holocaust.
Today this rich collection is already placed in the office named after him.
