On May 26 the assembly-meeting of the Regional Committees coordinating the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place at the conference hall of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute by the initiative of RA Ministry of Diaspora.

Head of RA President’s Staff and the Coordinator of the 100th anniversary events of the Armenian Genocide Vigen Sargsyan delivered a welcome speech during the assembly-meeting.

Members of state commission, RA Ministry of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and the Secretary of the State Commission on coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide Hayk Demoyan also made speeches.

In his speech Mr. Demoyan remarked the preparatory works of AGMI dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, in particular the new exhibition of the museum, cooperation with the 100th Anniversary Committees and RA diplomatic representations, international cooperation, etc.

He also highlighted the importance of the preparation of temporary exhibitions devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. “Museums have long been out of their original mission. Now museums are part of the domestic and foreign policy”, - he said.

Reports were made by the representatives of the Regional Committees coordinating events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the chairmen of commissions and central authorities.
