On November 26, Polish President Andrzej Duda, leading an official delegation, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Yerevan. He was accompanied by Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Armen Pambukhchyan, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Poland, Alexander Arzumanyan.
Dr. Edita Gzoyan, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI), welcomed the guests and guided them through the Memorial complex, sharing its history and significance.
President Duda laid a wreath at the Memorial to the Victims of the Armenian Genocide, and placed flowers at the Eternal Fire, where he observed a minute of silence in honor of the innocent martyrs of the genocide.
The Polish President also visited Memory Alley, where he planted a silver fir tree in remembrance of the Armenian Genocide martyrs. Dr. Gzoyan presented President Duda with books on the Armenian Genocide and expressed her gratitude for his visit.
