Тhe fourth meeting of State Commission on Coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide took place at the Sport and Concert complex in Tsitsernakaberd, which was chaired by RA president Serzh Sargsyan.

The meeting was convened with expanded staff and aims to clarify once again the timing and strategy of the State Commission before the official launch of 100th Anniversary events. In addition to the committee members, the meeting was attended by representatives of Regional Committees, experts, Diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Armenia, Dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

In his welcome speech RA President mentioned, since the first meeting of the Commission held three years ago, huge organizational and preparatory works have been done within the framework of the 100th Anniversary events, in Armenia, NKR and Diaspora as well. RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Diaspora have been given appropriate recommendations to promote the formation of regional committees in different countries and cooperate with them in organizing local events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

Speeches were made by NKR president B. Sahakyan, head of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I, Minister of Foreign Affairs E. Nalbandyan, Minister of Diaspora H. Hakobyan and others.

As the Secretary of State Commission on coordination of the events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the director of AGMI Hayk Demoyan made a report in which he referred to the work carried out with the 100th Anniversary committees and RA diplomatic representations, international cooperation, as well as to the large-scale preparatory works of permanent and temporary exhibitions.
