On May 30, an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary opened at Glen Cove Holocaust Museum in New York.
According to deputy director of Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Suren Manukyan the exhibition is consisted of tow parts; photographic stories of Armenian Genocide and an exhibition telling about the humanitarian aid of Near East Relief organization in USA.
Along with the exhibition movie telling the story of Aurora Martikanyan will also be displayed.
“It is very important to have such an exhibition, and it will be open until September, after which it will be moved to another Holocaust Museum. I don’t want to pass details, because as our negotiations are still going on”,-mentioned Suren Manukyan.
Armenia’s Permanent Representative of at the UN Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Fr. Abraham Malkhasyan from Holy Martyrs Armenian Church, representatives of Jewish community and survivors of Holocaust were present at the opening ceremony. Students of local Armenian school presented musical pieces selected from Komitas compositions.
