On 9 June, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who arrived in Armenia on a working visit, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial accompanied by the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

The guests were welcomed by the Deputy Scientific Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Edita Gzoyan.

The ministers of the two countries laid wreaths at the memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, then the guests laid flowers at the Eternal Flame and observed a minute’s silence in memory of the innocent martyrs of the Armenian Genocide.

At the end of the visit Sergey Lavrov watered the silver fir he had planted in the Memory Park.
