December 6, 2007
On December 6, in the Komitas hall took place recurrent public lecture organized by AGMI. The lecture read Ara Papian. Ara Papian was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Canada (2000-2006). The title of lecture was legal implications of the treaty of Sevres and Woodrow Wilson’s Arbitral Award.



November 22, 2007
Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU) donated 10 units of technical equipment with a total price of 3 million 338 thousand AMD to the Armenian Genocide-Museum, with the help of which the museum employees will be able to digitize not only the known materials about the Armenian Genocide but also the information not fully examined and investigated yet.



November 14, 2007
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Sergey Stanishev, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. Mr. Stanishev laid a wreath of flowers at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims and visited the Genocide Museum Institute.



November 13, 2007
The delegation headed by Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Juozas Olekas visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex. Mr. Olekas laid a wreath of flowers at the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims and visited the Genocide Museum Institute.



November 4, 2007
Secretary General of the Council of Europe Terry Davis, visited the Tsisernakaberd Memorial Complex. During the visit Mr. Davis put flowers to the memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.




November 3, 2007
On November 3, the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute with the help of Armenia Tree Planting Project benevolent foundation and Synopsis Company, organized tree planting in the Tsitsernakaberd park.





October 30, 2007
The Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute (AGMI) organizes Public Lecture series. On October 30, in the Komitas hall took place second public lecture organized by AGMI. The lecture read Anie Kalayjian.



October 26, 2007
On October 25, 13th conference of the CIS member states’ ministers of education was held at the Government House of Receptions. Delegations from Armenia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan participated.

The members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group Germany-South Caucasus of the Bundestag of the Federal Republic of Germany (FRG) headed by Stephen Raiche, visited Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide and put a wreath to the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.

The PM of Georgia, Zurab Nogaideli, visited Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide and put a wreath to the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.

Leonid S. Tarasevich, the rector of Saint-Petersburg State University of Economics and Finance, visited Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide and put a wreath to the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.

Thomas Hammarberg, the Human Rights Commissioner of the European Union, visited Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide and put a wreath to the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.

The foreign affairs committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, visited Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide and put a wreath to the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.



September 11, 2007
M. Roger Sauvain, the deputy director of the European Board of directors, the head of the program “Exchange of the best experience” of the Chief Interpol Secretariat, visited Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute.



September 6, 2007
First Secretary of the French Socialist Party Francois Hollande, accompanied by Kiro Manoyan and Hrant Margaryan, visited Museum-Institute of Armenian Genocide and put a wreath to the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.

The chief minister of New Delhi, Sheela Dekshit, visited the Tsisernakaberd Memorial Complex and laid a wreath at the Memorial of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.



August 31, 2007
The chief executive of Liberal Judaism organization Rabbi Danny Rich visited Tsisernakaberd Memorial Complex. Rabbi Danny Rich planted a fir at the Memory Alley and visited the Genocide Museum.

Egbert Meijer, the judge of the European Court of the Human Rights, visited the Armenian Genocide Museum.

Stephen Pound, the member of the House of Lords of the United Kingdom, visited Tsisernakaberd Memorial Complex and laid a wreath at the Memorial of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.



August 12-25, 2007
The Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute, Suren Manukyan, participated in the Third Summer Session “European Security and NIS” , which was held in Odessa, Ukraine.



August 2, 2007
Robert Fisk, the internationally recognized journalist for The Independent of London, visited the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute.



July 31, 2007
The president of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and the member of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Aleksander Steblin, the member of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Frederick Meredith, and the deputy general secretary of the International Ice Hockey Federation, Hannes Ederer, visited the Armenian Genocide Museum.



July 17, 2007
Arm Fighting Federation and Prince Amir visited Tsisernakaberd Memorial Complex and laid a wreath at the Memorial of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.



July 11-12, 2007
Armenian Genocide Museum and Institute’s own resident researcher, Tigran Zakaryan, participated in the conference of the Armenian Genocide and Construction of Armenian Diaspora of Identity hosted by the Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov.



July 10, 2007
The Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute, Suren Manukyan, participated in the Pan-Armenian International Youth Conference, organized by World Armenian Congress with the help of the Association of Youth Organizations. The theme of the discuss was the fair resolution of Karabakh conflict, the tasks of the Armenian youth in recognition of the Armenian Genocide and those issues as the agenda of present political advocating and lobbyist works.



July 9-13, 2007
The Director of the Armenian Genocide Musuem & Institute, Hayk Demoyan, participated in the 7th Biennial Meeting of the International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) hosted by the University of Sarajevo's Institute for Research into Crimes against Humanity and International Law.

The participants of the Conference “The Challenges of the 21st century and the Armenian Youth” accompanied by the president of the World Armenian Congress (WAC) and the Union of Armenians of Russia visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and laid a wreath at the Memorial of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

The General Prosecuter of the Republic of Hungary Mr. Tamas Kovasc, the Deputy General Prosecuter of the Republic of Hungery Mr. Ervin Belovich and the Head of Armenian Community in Hungary accompanied by the Deputy General Prosecutor of the Republic of Armenia Mr. Mnatsakan Sargsyan visited the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute.

June 18, 2007
The Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute published press-release commemoration the 20th anniversary of the European Council recognition of the Armenian Genocide.



June 15, 2007
Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute’s own resident researcher, Tigran Zakaryan, participated in a conference for the Young Orientalists of Armenia. The theme he presented was possible US involvement in the First World War in 1915-16 and the Armenian Genocide.



June 8, 2007
Ara Papyan, the RA ex-ambassador in Canada, publicly made a speech entitled: “The Legal Ramifications of the Treaty of Sevres.”



June 1-21, 2007
Deputy Directors of the Armenian Genocide Museum & Institute, Gohar Grigoryan and Suren Manukyan, participated in training geared towards Museum Fundraising, organized by the Cafesjian Museum Fund.
