November 29, 2010
On November 29, the head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Narishkin visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian genocide in the framework of a state visit in Armenia and laid a wreath at the monument of the Armenian Genocide victims. Mr. Narishkin, accompanied by the director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan, got acquainted with materials depicting the big tragedy of 1915, and left a note in the Commemoration Book.

On November 8, the director of AGMI Hayk Demoyan had following public lecture “Humanitarian and Political Aspects of the Armenian Genocide Recognition” in the Diplomatic Academy of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.


November 09, 2010
The Governor of Rostov Region Vasily Golubev visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian genocide in the framework of a state visit in Armenia and laid a wreath at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims. The Russian delegation also put flowers at the eternal fire and honored their memory with a minute of silence.
Afterwards, the guests visited Armenian Genocide Museum and left a note in the Commemoration Book.
The Governor planted a fir at the memory park of Tsitsernakaberd Complex.


October 29, 2010
Today the group of the European Parliament deputies visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian Genocide and put flowers at the eternal fire and honored victims’ memory with a minute of silence.


October 26, 2010
On 25-28 October, 2010, AGMI took part in the 4th Forum of translators and publishers of CIS and Baltic countries. During the Forum the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute presented its latest publications.

Thorbjørn Jagland, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian Genocide and put flowers at the eternal fire and honored victims’ memory with a minute of silence.


October 16, 2010
On October 13- 17, 2010, over 30 Turkish participants of “Ani–Dialogue between civil society organizations of Armenia and Turkey” project, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian genocide. The representatives of the Turkish delegation put flowers at the eternal fire. The delegation visited Armenian Genocide Museum and took a large guided tour; afterwards they had an interesting discussion with the director of AGMI Hayk Demoyan.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia D. Shashkin visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian genocide in the framework of a state visit in Armenia and laid a wreath at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims. The delegation also put flowers at the eternal fire and honored their memory with a minute of silence.
Afterwards, D. Shashkin visited Armenian Genocide Museum and left a note in the commemoration book.

The participants of the Armenian-French decentralized cooperation visited Tzitzernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian genocide and put flowers at the monument of the Armenian Genocide victims and honored their memory with a minute of silence. Afterwards the delegation took a tour in the Armenian Genocide Museum and the representatives of the delegation left their notes in the Commemoration Book.

One of the researchers of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Aram Mirzoyan took part in the international conference “Children and War: Past and Present”, organized by the Universities of Wolverhampton and Salzburg, held in Salzburg from 30 September till 2 September with the presentation “Children and the Armenian Genocide: Sufferings and Survival Strategies.”


September 11, 2010
A group of Ukraine journalists visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and had a tour in the museum. Afterward, they met with the director of AGMI Mr. Demoyan and had an interesting discussion on Armenian genocide issues, after witch, Ukraine journalists took an interview from Hayk Demoyan.

The world famous French actor Gerard Depardieu, who arrived in Yerevan within the framework of the third “Karot” International Armenian Festival, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex of the Armenian genocide and put flowers at the monument of the Armenian Genocide victims and honored their memory.

Today the world-known musician, the former SOAD front man Serj Tankian, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex and put flowers at the monument of the Armenian genocide victims. Afterwards the famous Rock star took a tour in the Armenian Genocide Museum.

Today the delegation headed by Foreign Affairs State Secretary of the Swiss Confederation Peter Maurer visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex and put flowers at the monument of the Armenian genocide victims. Afterwards the delegation took a tour in the Armenian Genocide Museum.



June 23, 2010
The Faith and Order Standing Commission of the World Council of Churches (WCC) arriving to Armenia with an invitation of His Holiness Karekin II, visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex. 31 representatives of Christian Churches put flowers at the monument of the Armenian genocide victims. Afterwards the delegation took tour in the Armenian Genocide Museum and the clergymen left their impressions and blessings in the Commemoration Book.

A group of Turkish journalists visiting Armenia by the initiative of ‘International Hrant Dink Foundation’ had a tour in the Genocide museum and visited Tsitsernakaberd memorial of the Armenian genocide victims.

The Italian delegation headed by the chairman of the provincial council of Milan Bruno Dupei visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex and put flowers at the monument of the Armenian genocide victims. Afterwards the delegation took a tour in the Armenian Genocide Museum and left a note in the Commemoration Book. Bruno Dupei planted a fir at the Memorial Alley.

Deputy Director of AGMI Suren Manukyan took part in International Seminar: Homelands: What happens when diasporas come ‘home’? Hosted by Kultrans, University of Oslo and had a speech on genocide memory of Armenian repatriates.

CSTO PA Council delegation led by Russian State Duma speaker Boris Gryzlov visited Armenian Genocide victims memorial.
Head of CSTO PA Council delegation Boris Gryzlov commemorated victims of Armenian Genocide, writing an entry to the Book of Memory.

The delegation headed by the president of “Europe de la Memoire” Organization Alexis Govchian visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex. The delegation laid a wreath at the monument of the Armenian genocide victims and visited Armenian Genocide museum.

The delegation of bishops from the Christian churches in Damascus headed by the primate of Armenian diocese from the Armenian Apostolic church in Damascos bishop T. Armash Nalbandyan visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex. The delegation laid a wreath at the monument of the Armenian genocide victims.

On the occasion of the massacre of Pontian Greeks the Greek community of Armenia and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Greece to Armenia Ionise Carintios visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial complex and laid wreaths to the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims. Afterwards Ambassador Karintion visited Armenian Genocide museum.

Meeting-discussion with Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Hayk Demoyan and students of different nationalities of “Youth” NGO and the Armenian Assembly of America’s Office in Yerevan took place.
